Test Authoring

At any point the "Create" button in the toolbar can get you editing quickly.

Organizing, navigating and editing test content should be easy, and with TestQuality you will find the Test Plan page to be a good home for editing. A Test Plan is normally usually used to organize a testing activity. It contains a number of Test Cases grouped by Test Suites that together accomplish a particular goal in your overall repository of tests. Simply click on a Test Plan and you will be in Test Plan page. From here you can see different sections of your Test Plan.

The Test Suite tree allows for hierarchical grouping of your Test Suites and Test Cases. Selecting a Test Suite will quickly show your Test Cases associated with that Test Suite. Hovering or clicking on menu button on a Test Suite will bring up different actions. You can create child suites, delete, in place edit or even navigate to a Test Suite editor.

A Test Case is a set of conditions when evaluated determine whether a system under test is working correctly. TestQuality makes a clean separation between authoring and executing. Test that are added to a Test Plan are later executed via a Test Plan Run.

Often the order in which tests are executed matters, this is why you can easily drag and drop Test Cases into the order you want them to be performed.

Test Cases offer you many ways to help you filter, organize and even re-execute in different Test Suites under different conditions. The bases of any Test Case are the steps, each step has the action to be performed and the expected results. These two parts of a step together with sequence allow you to determine if your system under test is working.
